A compact benchtop LED UV curing chamber for fast, simple, safe UV curing

The IUV301 Benchtop LED UV Curing Chamber from Intertronics is a compact, portable UV curing chamber. Also known as a UV curing oven, the IUV301 is designed for fast, safe and repeatable curing of UV curable adhesives, coatings, inks and encapsulants wherever you work. It operates from standard mains power and is available with 365 nm, 385 nm or 405 nm LED wavelengths to match the absorption characteristics of your UV curable material.

A controlled UV curing environment

Whether you're evaluating a new UV adhesive, validating a manufacturing process, or curing production batches, consistent UV exposure makes results more predictable and repeatable.

The IUV301 Benchtop LED UV Curing Chamber achieves this using high-intensity long-life UV LEDs combined with highly reflective internal surfaces inside the oven to deliver exceptional light uniformity throughout the curing area.

Unlike open UV flood lamps, an enclosed UV curing chamberprovides a controlled curing environment where UV intensity, exposure time, and part positioning remain consistent from batch to batch.

Intensity and exposure time control allow curing processes to be optimised for different materials, and the enclosed chamber design improves operator safety by protecting operators from direct UV light exposure.

Reducing process variation makes it easier to achieve reliable bond strength, coating performance and manufacturing repeatability. With consistent curing, improved product quality will follow across single components, batches of parts and larger assemblies.

For higher-volume processes, what you learn from your process in the UV chamber can help inform the next stage of expansion into production environments. Depending on the component and production requirements, that might ultimately mean moving to a dedicated UV LED spot lamp, flood curing system, conveyor, or automated curing process.

In other applications, there may be no reason to move at all. If the UV curing oven provides the required cure, throughput, and process control, the simplest solution may also be your production solution.

If you want to get into UV curing, start here

UV curing itself is remarkably simple. Expose the right UV curable material to light of an appropriate wavelength and intensity for sufficient time, and curing can take place, usually in seconds.

An enclosed benchtop chamber removes many of the practical variables which can otherwise complicate getting started. Components are loaded into the chamber, the door is closed before exposure begins, and you push the button to start. A safety interlock prevents operation while the door is open.

With the IUV301 Benchtop LED UV Curing Chamber you can experiment with UV curing for fast, controlled and repeatable bonding, coating, and encapsulation and begin to develop a reliable manufacturing process.

You can test the curing chemistry, check for sufficient and consistent UV exposure, and consider the influence of part geometry, distance from the light source, and how to cope with shadowed areas.

As the LED UV Curing Chamber is so easy to operate, you can very quickly explore the variables which affect the cure, and understood how to control your process to make it repeatable.
