Accu expands range of threading tools and components
Accu has expanded its threading tools and accessories range with the addition of 4,550 thread-cutting components, giving customers access to a comprehensive selection of machine taps, hand taps, hand tap wrenches, dies and die stocks, for both machine and manual applications.
With a broader range of threading tools and components available, Accu customers have greater flexibility to source all the components they need from a single supplier, streamlining the sourcing and procurement process while removing the need to manage multiple suppliers.
Engineers working with CNC mills and drill presses can benefit from Accu's expanded range of precision-engineered machine taps, which are designed to produce accurate internal threads in a single operational pass. In addition, hand taps provide a reliable solution for manual applications and cutting internal threads into pre-drilled holes. The enhanced selection also includes threading accessories, such as hand tap wrenches to provide engineers with the control needed to securely hold and drive hand taps during manual threading work.
For external threading applications, customers can benefit from an extended selection of hardened screw thread cutting dies when working on cylindrical workpieces. The broadened selection also allows engineers to pair these with die stocks, which securely hold and drive circular dies during threading.
The range of threading tools is available in high-speed steel (HSS), offering exceptional hardness, wear resistance and thermal stability to support applications across precision CNC machining, aerospace, automotive, motorsport, electronics, plant and general workshop maintenance.
Dies can also be sourced with RU-VA coatings to reduce friction at the cutting faces and extend tool life, ideal for demanding alloys or higher-volume threading work.
Accu's selection of threading tools, components and accessories is available in a wide range of metric sizes, from M1.6 to M60 for metric hand taps, with machine taps available in sizes up to M52. Tap wrenches also range in sizes from M2 to M38, while die stock ranges from M20 to M55. This flexibility allows customers to select the most appropriate component for every project, from precision machining and high-volume production to manual threading applications.
