With more than 35 years experience in the emergency lighting and fire safety industry., Orbik enjoys a hard-earned reputation for the quality and high standards of its products. The company is represented on the technical committees of the British Standards Institute (BSI), the Industry Committee for Emergency Lighting (ICEL) and the Lighting Industry Association (LIA).

Two years ago Orbik approached Jet Press for assistance in problem solving, and following a couple of years of extensive testing which included both shock and vibration testing, its finished product has now passed all the necessary trials and is in full production. The fastener which allowed Jet Press to meet the design needs is its quarter turn dome head stud and associated Neoprene washer. The fasteners are said to be easy to install by press inserting it through a panel into a clip on the bottom panel: release is equally straightforward using a flat-head screwdriver or coin  through a quarter turn. The studs are manufactured from brass to aid corrosion resistance, even when used in harsh environments.

The studs are paired with Jet Press Quarter Turn Neoprene Washers which help to seal the hole and reduce vibration in a temperature range from -40°Celsius to +90°Celsius.
