New cordless fastening tools from Zygology
Fastening experts Zygology have just introduced two new ergonomically friendly, cordless fastening tools from Stanley
As part of its ongoing commitment to providing manufacturers with the best in fastening technology, Zygology has just announced the arrival of the latest in ergonomic, cordless tools from Stanley: the NB08PT-18 and the SB25PT-05.
Designed to “Significantly improve productivity on critical general industrial and transportation assembly applications”, Zygology states that these new ergonomic, cordless speed-fastening tools maximise placing capability whilst reducing installation cost.
The new tools are designed to enhance operator mobility, enabling easy movement around applications without the constraints of a compressed air line: it maximises output and reduces operator fatigue says Stanley. Further, non-reliance on compressed air or mains power helps prevent unscheduled downtime, and the new tools offer long-lasting DEWALT lithium-ion battery technology with what Stanley says is industry-leading charging time. Tool-less, quick change, nose jaw and tail jaw systems further enhance productivity.
Key model features highlighted by Zygology for the Stanley NB08PT-18 battery powered blind rivet nut tool include:
Operates in both pull-to-force and pull-to-strokes modes, to provide adaptability and productivity benefits
Features push-to-start functionality: the blind rivet nut is automatically loaded onto the tool by applying axial pressure to the drive screw (mandrel). This feature, combined with tool-less, quick change, nose equipment, further enhances productivity
Typically installs 900 (M6 steel) blind rivet nuts with a single charge, using a 2.0Ah battery
Quick release nose equipment, quick slide battery installation, LED light to ensure a clear line of sight to the application, ergonomic soft-grip handle for operator comfort. A built-in touch screen allows the setting up of the stroke and force settings and the cycle counter and poka-yoke features to be easily entered and adjusted.

Zygology confirms that the new NB08PT-18 and SB25PT-05 tools are well suited to a variety of typical general industrial applications such as HVAC, Lighting and the assembly of domestic appliances. Other areas in which the tools will excel are said to be in transportation assembly applications, for example seating and passenger safety production (NB08PT-18), interior trim applications (SB25PT-05) and in the manufacture of trailer, bus, and coach ancillaries.
