Vending the rules to improve productivity

As part of its inventory managed package, Staytite can allow manufacturing plants to complement its production processes by supplying a range of consumables via a vending machine. The machines can be stocked with a variety of consumable items and be placed at key locations on the shop floor. Users can access the required products by using either a keyfob or special access code.

Staytite’s machines are cloud-connected and automatically record every transaction as well as providing accurate, real-time stock information.The system also features automatic stock reordering together with level alerts and fully itemised usage reports allowing management to easily and accurately manage costs. 

The company states that in addition to dispensing consumables, its vending machines can also dispense adhesives, fasteners, tools, tapes, PPE, lubricants et al, making the machines completely flexible and suitable for deployment across a variety of locations at a site. A recently released video shows a vending unit being tested and installed at a customers' plant.
